Frequently asked questions

Does changing DPI change the pixel dimensions?

No. A 600 × 800 image stays 600 × 800 pixels. Print size changes only in software that uses this density tag.

Why might another app show a different DPI?

Some software prioritises EXIF or other metadata over JFIF. This tool changes JFIF density only and preserves other metadata. Use the cm/inch cropper when you need to resize and produce a freshly encoded JPEG.
